I have been working with children and families for 10 years. I started in the public school system, gaining a deep understanding of special education, individualized education plans (IEPs), and 504 Plans.

Following my experience in the school system, I began working closely with the DIR/Floortime model in two different pediatric developmental therapy clinics in Chicago, IL. I believe in a developmental, relationship based approach when working with children and families. When working with an individual I take into consideration all of the aspects of their unique profile and personality, build a strong, empathic relationship, and support them to reach their goals.

Much of my work is play-based, supporting children to emotionally process their experiences through preferred activities. I have extensive experience supporting children and adolescents to emotionally regulate, engage, and build relationships. I also support parents who seek strategies to better connect with their children, navigate challenging behaviors, and process emotions surrounding a new diagnosis of their child.

I am an Intermediate DIR® Floortime Provider through The Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning (ICDL), a Certified PLAY Project Consultant, and hold my certificate in Horticultural Therapy from the Chicago Botanic Garden. I also have training in social and emotional assessment, am a certified Music Together teacher, as well as a certified Rainbows for all Children Facilitator. I often integrate work with plants, art, and music into my sessions.
